Hi Dear
Welcome to the platform of Health care magic.

As You have narrated the symptoms. It appear to be a boil only. (The infected hair follicle).
Probably it is all because of the hairs you trimmed. This might have caused the avulsion of some hairs along with its root leaving the raw area. This raw area might get infected easily and folliculitis is the result.

This can be easily treated by proper cleaning, dressing along with some anti-inflammatory and analgesic. if the boil do not respond to this one may add some relevant antibiotic and it will subside 3 to 4 days.

Hope the query is answered.

Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for the query. I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. In my opinion I will agree with you as it may be a ingrown hair follicle as you have mentioned that you shaved that area recently. I dont advice you to pop it like that as it may lead to infection. It will go by itself and if that doesnt happen then you need to use some antibiotic ointments. Thank you.
