Bruised Left Knee, Right Knee Also Hurts, Severe Pain When Weight Is Put On. Suggestions ?

I fell three weeks ago and bruised my left knee pretty bad but my right knee is hurting constantly but at times it is severe pain when i put my weight on it but not everytime I put weight on it. What could it be? Should I go to my regular dr or go straight to a knee specialist? What should I do until i can get in with a doctor?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello
Since you are having constant pain in your knees after an injury, I suggest you to take a x-ray of both knees AP and lateral views to rule out bony injury. Then take a MRI of the Knees to rule out Ligament injury and then the next course of treatment can be carried out.
Get well soon.
