Bruise On Right Side Of Stomach. Had Colonoscopy, Pain During Procedure. Cause Of Bruise?
Recently had a colonoscopy. Don't remember much but do remember excruciating pain during the procedure even though I was sedated. Later at home noticed I have a dime-sized bruise and a smaller bruise on the right side of stomach about 2 inches from my belly button. Obviously occurred from colonoscopy. What could have caused these bruises?
Sorry to hear about your problem. The bruises you are explaining have no correlation with the colonoscopy procedure but might have been caused due to the positioning during the procedure. These bruises should go away in a few days time and there is nothing serious to worry about. If you are still having pain, you can take an over the counter analgesic for a couple of days. Hoping for the best.
