Bruise on forearm, noticed white lump in middle, not heeling. Treatment?

Hi I noticed that my son had a bruise on his fore arm last week so I asked him how he had got it he said he couldnt remember but later on in the week ive noticed it has a white lump in the middle of it which is hard and it is still there showing no signs of going away i am worried as ive never seen this before should I take him to doctors?

The appearance of a white lump in the middle of a bruise is a sign of healing. If the bruise is persistent for more than 3 weeks then it is best to get it examined from your physician.
