Bruise And Pain In The Breast After A Fall. Taking Tylenol. Need Further Treatment?

I fell and hit my right breast on the ground fourmdays ago but there is no bruise it just is very uncomfortable above the areola and just distal to it. I have full range of motion with minor discomfort but other times it feels like someone has drilled it! Cross body motions are uncomfortable. Taking Tylenol when uncomfortable and ice. Shower feels super whilst in it
Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

The good news is that there is no bruise, which usually indicates injury to the ribs. But, it would be better if you rule out any skeletal injury with an x-ray.

In my opinion this is just soft tissue damage. The treatment for which is cold compress (if swelling is present), if no swelling is present or if the swelling has subsided, apply warm compresses which will increase circulation and promote healing. Mild pain killers like tylenol will be perfect to help relieve pain and inflammation. If the symptoms last for more than 7-10 days, please pay a visit your doctor.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
