Thanks for asking the query,
Brownish discolouration on the gums are due to;
- Gingivitis-inflammation of the gums as a result of some injury
reaulting from eating of any hard
substances or drinking some hot food or drink.
- Reddish brown can also indicate some old haemorrhage.
- Chronic cheek biting
- Formation of periodontal infections, periodontitis
- Oral cancers are chronic conditions associated with the use of tobacco.Discolouration in your
Mothers case is not suggestive of cancer as you dont have such symptoms.
I would suggest you to visit to an Dentist
and get the checkup done, to rule out any other pathology.
Take an OPG x-ray if needed.
You should eating of hot, spicy and irritating foods.
Maintain a good oral hygiene
Hope this helps out.
