Bothered By Bright Lights And Glare After Cataract Surgery With Severe Burn And Tear In Eyes. No Help From Eye Drops. Suggest

Since my catarac surgeries I have been greatly bothered by bright lights and glare. My eyes constantly burn and tear.
Please tell what might cause these symptoms. My eye doctor said that she could see no cause for this and everything looked good. See prescribed several different types of eye drops, all made the systems worse.
Please help me solve this problem. I am no longer even able to drive.

Thank you,
Roger Hildebrandt

Hi..
Thanks for the query..
When was the surgery done?
Do you have any idea about the type of the lens which was implanted in the eye?
Post cataract surgery some excessive brightness and glare are common with most of the patients because of removal of cataractous lens which was obstructing the passage of rays into the eye.
These symptoms will come down slowly over a period of time.
Burning sensation could be because of post surgery dryness of eyes which is also common. Using some lubricating drops can help.
You can use some ARC lenses to improve the comfort..
Don't worry. Trust your eye care provider..
Take care..
