Both Feet Operated, Ankles Reconstructed. Toes Hurting Bad, Turning Black. Will Have To Cut Off Toes?
Ok make a long story short, My husband had both feet operated on one 5 years ago and the other 2 years ago. They reconstructed his both ankles and he wore a halo for 3 months. His toe s have started turning black and hurting bad. We can not get anyone at the VA to help what should we do. We are scared he is going to lose his foot We spent a lot of money on both of this surgerys to have to have toes cut off. We need advice. They say he is not a candidate for the stent. Wee don't know if they are telling us that or what. We know with Obama care he want all people to go home and die. Please help us. Thank you James Larry Turnage.
Hi, Your husband had 2 surgeries, one 5 years ago, and other 2 years ago, and he is on plaster cast , but he must be having cast at different times. He had his toes turned black, and having the pain as well. It appears to be the gangrene, it appears that he had these surgeries, to prevent this gangrene. If it is amputated now, it may stop with one finger, other wise it may spread to the foot as well. Sorry to share this fact . I advise you to consult a vascular surgeon for saving the rest of the foot. Thank you.
