Bones Feeling Like Breaking. Unable To Stand, Walk. X-ray Normal. Suggestions?

My son woke up with as he puts it his bones feel like there breaking. It s in his calves and behind knees where it hurts most. He can t stand or walk. Crawling seems to be ok at times. We went for blood work and X-rays and everything s normal. He had strep throat earlier in the week and is finishing up on medication . He is 11.

Your son might be having growing pains at this age. This is a harmless muscular pain endured by children at this age. It is a diagnosis of exclusion and to be made after examination by a pediatrician. If it is confirmed, it will disappear after few months.
