Bone Stuck In Throat, Coughing Blood. Hurts To Swallow. Medicine For Pain?

Hi,i had a salmon bone stuck in my throat, then i swallowed a bread crust which didn't make any difference ,then i gave a good cough caused me to cough up blood.i phoned the emergency services who sent an ambulance. It started to feel better and the Ambulance Medic said it had probably gone down. This happened 3 days ago but it still hurts when i swallow.Is there anything i could take for the pain?

Hi,
If such a patient come to me i would suggest a pain killer like paracetamol (mild pain) or diclofenac (moderate pain). However you may visit a ENT doctor OPD who will examine throat wound and look for infection and bleeding in the wound if any. Antibiotics can be given if infection is present.
