Bone TB, AKT4, Pyridoxine and BioD3 prescribed. No calcium tablet prescribed ?
Hello Doctor, My mom has been diagnosed with Bone TB. She has been prescribed AKT4 for 18 months, Pyridoxine (one tablet in a day). She was advised to take BioD3 capsule for 15 days which we discontinued after the suggested duration...So far she has not been asked to take any calcium tablet...Can you pls suggest if Calcium tablet should be taken along with the existing medication . If yes, which calcium tablet would work for her and should we continue giving her BioD3.
1. Adding milk, yogurt and cheese to diet increases dietary calcium intake
2. Regular sun bath increases production of Vit.D3 naturally from our body
3. Medications having elemental calcium 250mg + Vit.d3 0.25mcg once a day is a good supplement
