Boils On Legs, Ankles, Pus Filled And Blood, Have Fever. Is It Scabies?
My 1.8 yr old child, started developing small boils in legs above ankles (we have lot of mosquitoes in recent weeks) and in 3-4 days, it staretd to scratch the boils which started to have fus/blood come outside. It has spread till knees and in in arms upto sholders now(exposed areas). Apparently two days back she got fever and consulted paedatrician yesterday and he suggested pharacetamal and it told the boils seens like Scabies and till fever settles I wait and apply a topical lotion. Yesterday night I started antibotics as fever shot up in the evening. None of the boils seen in her palm/foot as Scabies symptoms says. Please advise
Hi, At present our first goal is to treat infection produced by itching and get it cured. These small boils might be due to mosquito bites. Generally scabies lesions are common in between finger spaces ( inter digital spaces ), so observe the lesion at this place. After infection clears, go for treatment of scabies as advised by your pediatrician. Ok and take care.
