I have been a bodybuilder for 4 years. It has caused some back/neck pain. At the base of my neck I have a rice crispie sounds when I turn it occasionally. Which is quite normal for some people. Anyhow, when I have my neck straight and my eyes looking straight forward I preform a movement where I will try to touch my ears to my shoulders. When I do this, I feel/hear a nagging and sometimes painful pop/crack in my neck. It is not a normal crack, like cracking a knuckle. It is a very deep crack, and I feel it might associated with nerves. Doctors have not taken me seriously and I need a proper diagnosis. I also have a lot of stiffness/ funny sounds higher up in my neck toward the bottom of my hair line. It bothers me during my training, and every morning I wake up with an extremely stiff neck. I have also had a self diagnosed "slipped disk" in my middle back from "deadlifting." It is sometimes painful, and a few times out of the year I will bend down to pick up something very light (toothbrush) and when I come back up a very painful nerve gets triggered and I wont be able to move for a while.
