Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The description provided by you suggests a viral infection which shall take its own course. He should take acetaminophen (Tylenol) 4-6 hourly if he is feeling feverish. This shall reduce his fever and reduce his body ache. In case there is no improvement within the next 24-48 hours he should seek medical help as a clinical examination will provide more information and proper treatment.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
