Body Itching, Red Bumps When Scratched, Dry Skin. Help

I m 20. I have itching all very my.body in the whole of rainy season. I develop red bumps when I scratch the region. I apply adri lotion everyday but it is no cure. It only helps for ah hour or two. It especially happens in monsoon n has been happening since 3 or 4 years. my skin is dry. I don't know if it is an allergy or what but this itching everywhere is very painful. It happens especially on thighs legs and butt. Please help.

Hi,

It seems that you may be having aquagenic pruritus.

First of all, you should to avoid excessive contact with water.

You should dry immediately.

Take antihistaminics daily till you feel better.

If there is severe pruritus, you may take steroids in tappering dose.

Application of calamine lotion might benefit.
