Blood Test Showed High Serum Triglycerides, VLDL Count. How Long Will It Take To Acheive Normal Counts With Lifestyle Changes?
hello doctor i am 33 years old female from india. recent survey of my blood tested high for serum triglycerides. they were 184 in count and a slightly high VLDL count . really worried although the cholestrol report was ok. with lifestyle chnages how long will it take for me to drop down my tryglucerides to normal range?

This is good more and more peoples are taking preventive health checkup. Your reading of Triglyceride is slightly high,just avoid high calories carbohydrates from diet and include Omega 3 fatty acid in diet which you can get from fish or almonds and Wal nuts.,take a balanced diet.
As VLDL is also high from which triglyceride is removed by a enzyme called LPL(Lipoprotein Lipase)
which is used for energy or storage,that is in adipose tisses.
**Take up regular waking or any outdoor game for 1 hour daily. Very important
See if there are oyher risk factors like obesity or High blood pressure
Hi Dear thanks for your question,you have high level of triglycerides.and VLDL,your triglycerides are not very much high and you have not mentioned level of VLDL,WITH life style modification it will take at least 3 to 6 months for your triglycerides and VLDL to come to normal range
