Blood In Mouth During Waking Up Daily, Red Saliva. ENT Suggests Deviated Septum, Not Seeing Bleeding Point. Any Ideas?

I wake up every morning with blood in my mouth. I clear the saliva from my mouth and it is bright red. I have had a x-ray, blood tests and it all came back fine. I have seen a dentist and said I had slightly inflamed gums, but would not result in this. I went to an ENT he said I have a deviated septum and need to get it fixed but could not see a bleeding point. I am lost to know why this is happening?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Grind teeth during or in sleep is the one of major cause of fresh blood in mouth.
So next time when in sleep note down this thing ( by an attendant ).
Some blood disorder may be one more cause.
Get in blood for bleeding time & clotting time.
Consult according to above mentioned reports.
Good luck.

Hi,
It seems that fresh blood coming in the morning mixed with saliva indicates that it is from mouth only.
If there is some infection on gum, tartered teeth, ulcer in the mouth all can cause this problem.
Nothing to worry, consult dentist and start the treatment for inflamed gum and if other dental problems are there.
Do antiseptic gargles.
Ok and take care.
