Blood Came After Bitten By Stray Dog. Took TT Injections, Arv Vaccine, Antibiotics. What Is Immunoglobulin Therapy?

i am bitten by a stary dog at the ankle at 1130 pm. some blood also came. immediatelly took TT. after 12 hrs started ist dose of arv vaccine.
till now two doses over. following the prescribed schedule of 5 dose vaccination. also taking antibiotics to avoid infections as per doctors advice. now what is immunoglobulin therepay. i dont under stand . pl clarify.

Your history of dog bite with bleeding comes under category 3 according to WHO guidelines. Treatment also depends on type of dog bite. For category 3 treatment includes immunoglobulins injection at the site of bite, vaccination and care for wound. Immunoglobulins works immediately on rabies virus and prevents virus to enter into nervous system. vaccination needs some time to produce immunoglobulins in body to act against virus.
As you have already taken vaccination, continue it.
