Block In The Main Artery, Stent Through Angioplasty, Diet Maintained Well, Heaviness And Discomfort. Now What?
Dear Doctor, My brother had MI (miled) 7 years ago and found blockage in the main artery and placed a stent through angioplasty when he was 39 years old. He was maintaining well diet system (coloestrol 125, BP within normal limit, etc.) However, he had sufferd heaviness and chest discomfort last week and underwent angiography . There were again two blockage (one 100% and the rest 70%) and placed two stents as well. He is still in the hospital and suppose to go home today. But he feel heaviness and discomfort today (after 4 days of new stents placement) and doctors moved him to ICU to do for another angiogram. How it is happened although he was maintaining well diet? Is there any problems or any other possibilities of MI or anything? Please advice.
There are several possibilities - The stent at times gets blocked / There might have been plaque rupture / There could have been spasm of another vessel / MI is a definite and known possibility / and so on.
Only angiogram and blood tests could show.
Diet and drugs have limitations / they help to reduce the complications / can't cure
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
