Blinking Star Like Effect In Eyes After Cataract Operation. Prescribed Gloeye Tablets. Right Medication?
Hi Doc.... My Mum had her cataract operation about 4 weeks ago and at times sees blinking star like effect in her eyes.... hence her Eye Doc has prescribed GLOEYE tabs...... Is it ok for her to have them, as I read some adverse effects related to it on the net and no mention is made related to do with cataract

Hello,
I guess your Mum must be over 50years.It contains pycnogenol and Bilbery extracts.It must have been given for its vitamins and anti-oxidant property.
If her vision is good ,she need not worry.The blinking stars must be asteroid hyalosis which she must have not noticed before due to the cataract.
Get her dilated retina checked up once the post operative eye drops are stopped.
