Bitten Lip During Oral Sex. Redness, Soreness. Should I Be Worried?

Hello, I met a girl on vacation. We kissed a lot and she liked biting my lip a little. It was a bit uncomfortable. We got down to sex eventually and had oral sex. I did it to her. Afterwards, when all the adrenaline had calmed down, my bottom lip felt a bit sore so I went to the bathroom and checked my lip. It wasn't bleeding but a bit redder than usual. Should I be worried? It's clear that I came in contact with viable body fluids but does HIV need to pass through a clear, open wound? I only ask because later, I checked her out and found that she attended an HIV rally in Africa but she is European. I know that doesn't mean she has it but now the idea is running through my head

Hello,

Thanks for your query,

HIV viruses generally can presnt in the following body fluids
1.blood stream
2.semen and pre seminal fluid
3.vaginal and cervical fluid
4.rectal fluid
5.breast milk
6 saliva,very rare
As you don't have any cut in lip so transmission chance is almost nil....
Don't be worried..the redness will get resolved within 1-2 days...

If you get furthur doubt then you can go for HIV test for your satisfaction...

Take care...

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
For HIV to get transmitted, there should be significant exchange of body fluids. The viral load of the transmitter must also be high.
Just to confirm and put doubts to rest I suggest you could consult a doctor and get tested. You should also get tested for other sexually transmitted infections.
Syphilis, herpes and genital warts are highly transmissible.
Hope this helps.
