Birth Control Camilla And The First Here Months Did Not Get Period. Used Condom During Sex. Spotting. Is This Implanting Bleeding?

Hi, I am on the birth control Camila and for the first 3 months I did not have a period. During that time, my boyfriend and I began having sex, but we used a condom every time, while I was on the birth control. Once, he put it in without a condom only for a few seconds because I told him to pull out. On July 11, I had my first period since I started my birth control, and we did this on July 19. Today, I started bleeding, but I am unsure if this could be implantation bleeding, from the few seconds he was in me without a condom, or an early, irregular period. I have continued to take my birth control. The bleeding has ranged from light pink to brown to red and clotty today, but has overall been light, but it is the first day which is how a usual period for me is. I have had severe cramps all day, which is also similar to a normal period. Am I just being paranoid?

Hi,
In the current scenario, you can exclude/confirm pregnancy through a blood test as a HPT may not be useful. It could be an early period since you were protected all the time. You may also get a trans-vaginal sonogram and see a specialist for a complete evaluation and further management. In the event of absence of periods even while on birth control, it is always essential to exclude pregnancy as early as possible. Hope your query is answered. Take care.
