I have had problems with my vision , and had a blackout 5 months ago, and a few sickly headaches. my neuro surgeon said it is very dangerous to operate because of the risk of a serious bleed , the tumour has shut down a main artery in my head and it has rerooted, would i be able to get any benefits to help me because no one will employ me

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

I can understand the discomfort you are facing on account of the head tumour.

However, the good point here is that it seems to be a benign (not cancer) tumour, which has a better outcome as compared to cancerous tumours.

The most likely cause here is meningioma, a tumour that arises from meninges.

I realize that the surgery is risky, however, a good neurosurgeon would take all the required precautions to ensure your safety.

I hope that your surgery would be successful and your health would be back to normal.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
