Bee Stung Got Infected. Prescribed Cephaelexin, Had Migraine. Took Augmentin. Will It Work?

When i was about 14 or 15 i got stung by a bee on the ear. I then developed an infection they prescribed me cephaelexin and it did not get the job done and i then got to the point where i had a migraine every day and could not hold down anyhing in my stomach they then prescribed me another antibiotic and it helped extremely quickly. The doctor said that it did not cover the type of allergy reaction that i had. I believe it was Augmentin. Yesterday i got stung again however i didn't experience the huge swelling now that i'm on day 2, its only an inch of swelling however i want to prevent what i went through that time a while back from happening. I have augmenting left over from a sinus infection that lasted two days. Am i thinking correctly that Augmentin will help and work against the bee sting getting infected?

Greetings of the day
The swelling which occurs immediately following bee sting is allergic reaction( Type I hypersensitivity reaction). Antibiotics have no role as its non infective in origin unless secondary bacterial infection occurs after a couple of days. Anti-histaminic medications will definitely help both bee sting and sinus.
Take care

Hi,
If allergy caused by bee and there is no infection, take some antihistamine like Cetrizine or benadryl tablet for 1-2 days and you will be alright.
If it is infected then you may take antibiotic Cephelexin or Augmentin.
Ok and take care.
