Bartholins Gland Cyst, Painful, Discomfort. Is A Result Of Unsafe Sex?
I have what I believe to be a bartholins gland cyst.. its not the first time I have had them, and although very painful and uncomfortable they usually go away after 2 weeks by themselves, but I just recently realized the last 2 times that they have been occurring after unprotected sex. I read your concern and your symptoms of recurrent cyst formation on bartholin gland can be associated with unprotected sexual activities which blocks the gland and can give rise to painful recurrent bartholin cyst.
Do not be worried ... NSAIDS and Antibiotics will prevent infection and abscess and maintain good hygiene to prevent reoccurence. Consult Gynecologist and describe your symptoms and they will cup open cyst and drains fluids to minimise chance of formation of cyst again in future .
