Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I have gone through your query, and the first question I would have to ask is, if you get this fishy smell from your urine or vagina? Well it is difficult to say, isn't it?
The most common cause of a fishy odour is an infection of the vagina. Bacterial vaginosis
, gardnerella, etc; are some of the most common infections presenting with a fishy odour.
I would thus request you to visit a gynecologist or a sexually transmitted disease
specialist who will first thoroughly examine you and then advice some laboratory investigations to support the diagnosis. Once this is done, the doctor will initiate a course of medications (eg antibiotics) which will help in treating the infection at the earliest. I would also request you to refrain from any sexual contact until you are completely cured (if you are sexually active) and also request your partner to visit a doctor if he has been experiencing any symptoms.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
