hello and welcome to HCM forum,
I am glad you wrote in, according to the dental history provided by you , i would like to inform you that the bad breath can be due to 2 reasons, either dental or may be sore throat(tonsillitis).
I cannot provide you with the diagnosis until i check your oral cavity clinically.
I assume that you are following a good oral hygiene regime, but sometimes medical conditions like tonsillitis, diabetes, can affect our oral health.
Therefore i would advise you to see a dentist ,you might require full mouth professional cleaning of teeth, as tartar deposits cause bad breath.
Your dentist will guide you on how to brush your teeth, to prevent plaque formation and foul smell from the mouth.
i would like to provide you with a few instructions:
1. brush your teeth (twice/day),
2. use a dental floss(once/day),
3. rinse your mouth with plain water after every meal,
4.use an antibacterial mouth wash(twice/day).
i hope i answered your query,
i wish you good health,
take care.

hello and welcome,
have you visited a dentist so far?
if not visit a dentist and get your teeth checked.there may be plaque/food debris/calculus deposition.
no matter how many times you brsuh, always brush your teeth in correct method.
ie,hold your tooth brush in 45 degrree angle,in upper arch, brush from top to bottom and in lower arch from bottom to top.
clean your teeth using soft interdental brush.this will prevent plaque accumulation in the inter dental/in b/w areas of teeth.
get your teeth professionally cleaned by your dentist.root planning also can be done if necessary.
since there is heavy bad smell, there is achance of gingivitis too.
curettage/gingivoplasty can be done according to the severity of gingivitis.
streptococcus micro=organisms are the common cause of bad breath.
use chlorhexidine containing mouthwash.wash your mouth after every meals to prevent plaque accumulation.

Hello,
Thank you for your questions. If you are having bad breath coming from your throat it could be from:
-Gastro-esophageal reflux
-Tonsillitis
-Tonsiliths

A large portion of bad breath comes from poor oral hygiene. A few things you can do:
Remember the 3-2-1 rule
(3)brush your teeth with toothpaste in gentle little circles for 2 minutes with a soft tooth brush three times a day. Brush your tongue (a huge source for bad breath or halitosis is from the bacteria on the tongue). Brush from the back towards the front.
(2)floss all of your teeth twice a day (bacteria sit between the teeth with food and what people may smell is food rotting between your teeth) Hold the floss against the side of the tooth and rub it up and down do not saw back and forth. Make sure you get under the gum line and rub up and down 4-6 times each side. Your gums will bleed at first but after two weeks will stop bleeding and beging to tighten up and go from red to pink.
(1)Gargle with Listerine Mouth wash for 1 minute once a day, preferably in the morning. Do not rinse your mouth with water, let it sit with the Listerine residue for at least a half hour.

I hope this helps!
Best wishes and good health!

Dentist Dr. Neha Sumra's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM
I went through your problem & would like to inform you that its gingivitis.I would like to tell you few common reasons for foul odor:-
-improper oral hygiene
-dry mouth or xerostomia
-gastric problem
-hormonal imbalance
-tonsillitis
-Gastro-oesophageal reflux
Most common reason is improper oral hygiene. How many times you brush is not as important as how you brush. You hold your brush with 45 degree angulation to your teeth and give gentle strokes.
Change your brush every 3 months. Start using 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash once daily half an hour after brushing. Start using dental floss for interdental cleaning.Do betadine gargles twice daily.
Also go for oral prophylaxis once every 6 months & start intake of citrous fruits.
Take Care

Hi,
I have read your problem. See, the main reason of bad breath from mouth is due to gingivitis. So, i would advice you to visit your dentist and ask him/her for scaling. Use chrohexidine mouthwash, drink a lot of water.

Wish you good health.. take care
