Back Spasms, Burning Sensation In Lower Back. Had Fracture In Tail Bone. Taking Medication, No Improvement. Recommendations?
HI, I HAD A TAIL BONE FRACTURE BACK IN JANUARY 2013 & I HAVE BEEN IN PAIN SINCE. NOW I AM HAVING BACK SPASMS EVERY DAY I HAVE PAIN & GET A BURNING SENSATION IN MY LOWER BACK WHICH MAKES IT WORSE. I HAVE BEEN TAKING CODIENE, IBPROFEN & PARACETAMOL. I SAW MY DOCTOR 3 WEEKS AGO & I WAS GIVEN DIAZEPAM WHICH DID NOT HELP & NOW AM TAKING GABAPENTIN 300G WHICH I AM TAKING WITH MY OTHER PILLS. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME IF THE FRACTURE HAS NOT HEALED APPARENTLY THERE IS NO CURE. I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO SLEEP AT NIGHT & FIND IT HARD TO BEND DOWN. I CAN NOT SIT OR WALK MORE MORE THAN 15-20 MINS. I AM STANDING & HOLDING MY BACK MOST OF THE DAY. THE PAIN & BURNING DO NOT SEEM TO GO AWAY.
HOW ELSE CAN I EASE THE BURNING PAIN ? PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ?
Hi, the tail bone fracture usually wont bother so much, unless there is some herniation. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Also try to exclude the possibility of the urinary tract infection, or a stone in the ureter near the bladder. Thank you.
