Back Pain, Numbness In Legs Even After Lumbar Discectomy. Treatment?
Had a lumbar discectomy several years ago and I still have back problems and numbness in my legs, even after therapy. Informed the physician that there was no feeling in my leg from my knee to my thigh. I am 54 years old and having more problems with my back. Can you give me some information as to this matter? It would be greatly appreciated. Tony
HI Thank for asking to HCM Look you had gone through the spinal surgery, now the nerve involvement would be there, and the inflammatory changes in nerve fiber and the degenerative changes must be there and such types of pathological changes are irreversible, have some vitamin supplement it some time give symptomatic relief, physiotherapy can be tried, have nice day.
