Baby Suffering From Diarrhoea And Constipation, Constantly Crying, On Medicines, No Relief. Suggestions?

hi i have a seven and a half months old baby..the baby has always been crying whenever since he was a month old despite of the motion being loose...from 5th month he suffered with loose motions till the end of 6th month.after that he suffered with severe constipation .the doctor prescribed laxiwal syrup.he was fine then, however ,he again suffered with constipation after 15-20 days..the doctor prescribed laxiwal for 15 days, pixit for a week ,laxopeg for 1 and a half months and annovate..to heal him down.however i strongly feel the baby has got some other problem inside..which the doctors are not able to understand.this i feeel because whenever he passes semi thick motion (no constipation)also he cries a lot and feels scary...please advise how to go about it .are there any tests which can assure me there is no problem with the baby.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for your query,
As your child was having constipation there may be chance of development of fissure due to hard stools.
Even with semi thick stool the fissure causes pain which may be the reason in your child.
At the same time hypothyroidim should be ruled out .
Dietary fiber rich foods can be offered to the child.

Hi,
Thanks for your query
constipation is commonly seen in hypothyroidism ,which needs to be rule out.
dietary modification is very important,i advise you to give her plenty of fluids, give vegetable soup, fruit juice.from next month you can add boiled vegetable and fruit pulp as well .
Chronic constipation can lead to fissure formation due to which child become hesitant to pass stools ans a vicious cycle starts,
