Baby Passing Dark Red Stool. Being Treated For Hemangioma. Took Treatment For UTI. Cause?

hi there - my 10 month old daughter has had dark red stool off and on for over 2 months now. we have given only a couple samples and they have tested negative for occult blood. we are seeing a gastroenterologist next week for a consult. my dughter is currently on nadolol, being treated for a hemangioma over the parotid gland. over the past few weeks she has developed a uti and has been treated for it. just recently she has been extra irritible, sleepy (but cant seem to nap well) and has stopped wanting to eat her solids/purees. she has gained weight in the last 7 days, however. we see our pediatrican weekly but any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. she has also had blood work done (2 weeks ago) and everything was fine - white blood cell count was slightly elevated but they werent concerned and figured it was due to the body fighting the uti. (other than inr im not sure what else they tested for.)

Hi,welcome to HCM!
First exclude any coloured food you are giving on such occasions!Even friuts and vegetabes like prunes, beets can cause discoloration.
when there is coloured stool, give it for testing for blood.
If every thing is negative, then the doctor should see her again.
Good luck
