Baby has very few bowel movements. Why?

My toddler, almost 4, will go days (7 or 8) without a bowel movement other than loose accidents two or three times a day in his underwear. He was potty trained before he was two and has been struggling for a few months with this. When he does go, it is a normal looking bowel movement just big. He does not strain and does not complain of stomach aches. I

Thanks for your query,
Constipation in children is usually due to dietary factor.
Since he is 4 years of age and is asymptomatic hypothyroidism is ruled out.
There is also no problem of fissures also.
I suggest you to modify his diet;
Give plenty of fluids,salads,green leafy vegetables.fruit .
Avoid all kind of fried and junk food.
