A better colic or gas medication would be one containing simethicone, such as Mylicon drops. Of course, all babies go through periods of fussiness at night and while you did not tell us your baby's age it would be helpful to understand normal sleep patterns in babies and techniques for helping them to sleep better. I suggest you pick up a copy of Dr. Richard Ferber's book: Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems, as it will give you some excellent advice on how to get your baby to sleep at night.
