Are Weight Gain And Moodiness Caused By The Side Effect Of Apri Birth Control Pill?
Hi Dr. I have just been put on the Apri birth control pill and I m wondering about side effects that can be caused from this.....mainly moodiness and weight gain. I was on Yaz and I loved it but after about a year of taking it I stopped getting my period which is why the switch has to occur. Any thoughts?

Hi,
The reason behind irregular periods or not getting periods is because you are overweight. Please reduce weight. Dont blame oral contraceptive pills. They are all almost same.
