Are Vertigo And Nausea Weaning Off Symptoms Of Cymbalta?

Hi Doctor. I am weaned off my Cymbalta (used for me for GAD, OCD/ADHD) which I d been on for 5 years. My physician put me on a program to wean that entailed 30 mg (down from 60mg) for 2 weeks, bid; following this, I moved to the same dosage but ever other day for again 2 weeks. I completed the process last Wednesday. I am currently experiencing vertigo (and brain zaps), fatigue and some nausea (which I suspect is a consequence of the vertigo). Could I assume these are very normal weaning off symptoms? If so, realizing the severity and duration is unique to the patient, how long might I expect this to run its course? Thank you for your assistance.

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Vertigo or nausea could be due to withdrawal symptoms. That would go in few days. There is nothing to worry about them. Weaning off process done by your physician is right. In cymbalta (duloxetine), dose should be reduced gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms and you have been reducing it same way. Just wait for few days and you would be ok. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
