Thank you for the query.
As per the history, you are a 46 yrs old lady, experiencing symptoms suggestive of a urinary tract tract infection (foul smell, high white cells in urine) along with oral candidiasis (thrush). Both of these conditions may be manifestations of an underlying Diabetes mellitus.
Diabetes is one of the commonest cause of UTI. Increased sugar in urine, is pointer of hyperglycemic status. A urine for culture and sensitivity test, confirms this diagnosis. In uncontrolled Diabetes, recurrent UTI is very common (the conditions are worsened by each other).
Oral candidiasis, occurs in immunosuppressed subjects. Diabetes produces a state of immunosuppression, and this may lead to oral candidiasis (sometimes vaginal candidiasis may also occur). Clotrimazole mouth paint local application helps in this situation.
Your menstrual cycle delay may not be related to your diabetic status. Since you are 46yrs old, you may be nearing menopause, which can cause delayed or irregular cycle along with other symptoms like hot flushes.
As advised by your physician, please get a blood sugar profile done (Fasting Blood sugar, 2 hrs Post prandial blood sugar, HbAic), which if deranged must be managed as per protocol. If you are detected with UTI, you may need to start on antibiotics, depending on the urine culture/sensitivity profile. Drink plenty of fluids, and maintain your personal hygiene.
Hope this helps you out.
