Are Tummy Tuck And Liposuction Procedures Painful?

I am a 36 year old woman who had twins six years ago. I have lost a significant amount of weight since then and am getting a tummy tuck minus the lipsuction tomorrow. I am wondering how much pain to expect. I realize pain is relative, but I am pretty nervous at this point. I am very active, but the only prior procedures I have had done were a tubal ligation and an endometrial ablation.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

These procedures are normally done under general anesthesia so you should feel no pain during the course of the procedure.

They may also consider some form of local anesthesia to reduce your immediate discomfort to the area at the end.

In addition, you will be given analgesic medications to cover you as you recover.

There will be pain in the recover period but the pain medications that you use should be able to reduce this significantly.

I hope this helps
