Are There Side Effects For Minoxidil Long Term Usage?

Hello doctor am 26yr old men.I had hair fall ihave been using mintop 2% it is not stopping my hair fall but I can see small hairs growing which are colourless and I shampoo with nizarol is that ok.what shudi do should I increses my dosaze to 5%.is there any problem with long term useof minoxidil.thank u

Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand that you are having hair loss and have been using 2% Minoxidil for the same.
Assuming that you are having male pattern hair loss, it is advisable to use 5% Minoxidil which is US-FDA approved strength for the same.
If you do nor find improvement even after 3- 6 months of using it, you could consider taking oral finasteride tablet under the supervision of a dermatologist.
You could also take oral supplements containing biotin.
Have a good diet rich in proteins.
Reduce stress by yoga/ meditation.
