Are There Any Substitutes For Verorab Vaccine?

hi ! i gave my son the 1st dose of Verorab vaccine for a dog nick ( not really a bite) . now Verobac is not available anymore ! can i substitute it with Rabipur for the 4 balance doses ? i have to give him his 2nd injection today but have been going around looking for it but with no luck. Would appreciate a quick response . Thanks !

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Yes , you can safely substitute Rabipur for verorab if verorab is not available. Ideally a series should be completed with same brand but antigenic composition of both vaccines is more and less same ,you can safely replace one for another , level of protection will not be compromised.
