Are There Any Side Effects Of Using Erythromycin Opthalmic Ointment?

Hello, my doctor prescribed me Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment for my eye for Blepharitis. I have been applying this ointment for 15 days and have been cleaning my eye with a warm cloth and baby shampoo. Now I have bumps on my eyes that has a clear discharge. What is this and what can I do get rid of it?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having blepharitis and you are on treatment with erythromycin eye ointment.
The bumps on the eyelid are not because of side effect of erythromycin and these may indicate infection of the eyelids. This requires use of anti-inflammatory drugs and cleaning the eyelid margin.
Blepharitis tend to run for long course hence treatment is required for at least 2-3 months.
Hence I advice you to continue the treatment as advised by your doctor.

Thank you
