Are There Any Side Effects From Long Term Use Of Wysolone For Eczema?

Hi, I am Chandan, I have eczema and my doctor had prescribed me Wysolone. It helps me temporarily I take Two 5mg tablets everyday. If I skip it for a week the condition reappears. My eczema is restricted to my hands(right hand to be specific) and fingers of my feet. My right hand is the worse one. I want to know the side effects of this medication, if yes so is there any way to avoid this medication use something else. Details : Age: 25 Weight: 70

As per your query you are taking wysolone which is prednisolone a steroid .There are many side effects of steroids like weight gain ,cataract,black stool and shortness of breath when use for long term .This drug is helping you as you mention ,so its better to reduce its side effects by some simple methods.

I would suggest you to exercise daily as this drug cause weight gain ,visit doctor regular for blood tests( TLC-DLC and liver function tests ),eat balance diet with complete nutrients and take supplements like folic acid and calcium.The above methode will help to reduce side effects of this drug.

If you still want an alternative for wysolone consult your doctor ,who may prescribe you alternative like dexamethasone.
