Hello
Promethazine ( phenergan ) is a safe drug except it causes mild degree sedation ,but help in rashes.
Prednisolone is a type of steroid and have following side effects if uses for long period.
Retention of fluid ,
Reabsorption of calcium from bones ( so bone become fragile and weak and thin).
Prednisolone provide only symptomatic relief and for very short term ( not more then 3 days ) it is a good drug.
In my opinion consult physician/dermatologist and get his opinion for rashes .
I find this answer helpful
