Are The Seizures Related To Brain Tumour?

I am having seizures my Aunt and her daughter and her daughter had seizures also are they genetic? I am also having trouble with weakness in my arms and legs, I sleep more than I should I cannot wake up. I also have brain tumor would this cause part of the trouble?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Seizures in your case are probably genetic, also known as idiopathic epilepsy.

A brain tumor on the other hand, can also cause seizures. It is important to know the location and size of brain tumor. If possible, please upload a copy of the MRI brain report.

There are good medications to prevent seizures, so, there is no need to worry.
