Are The Hand Tremors Caused By Oxygen Or Prednisone?

Thank you.

I* have been taking Prednisone (actually it is Escitalopram 10 mg) one/day for COPD and breathing problems and have just been put on oxygen the 5th of June.

I have begun to have hand tremors and problems writing. Is this caused by the medicine or is it something else to worry about?

Thank you.

Hello
As you mentioned in the query that you are taking PREDNISOLONE ( actually it is Escitalopram 10 mg )for copd and breathing problem and put on oxygen .
Your query is ambiguous .
Prednisolone never produces tremors , but if something as bronchodilator is to be taken for breathing problem , it may produce tremors ( although you mentioned that you are taking prednisolne ) .
Oxygen never produces tremors , if within normal limit ( up to 100 5 saturation ).
Escitalopram sometimes produces FINE TREMORS as may be in your case .
But this drug adjusted within a short period .
Since you are a patient of copd and having breathing problem , so take this treatment as desired by your doctor .
For hand tremors consult your prescribing physician.
Hope this will be useful for you.
