Hallow Dear, After going through the information I am providing you right now, you can infer whether you could be pregnant or not. Two days before the end of period; i.e. during the period, no egg is present to get fertilized. The egg is released 14 days prior to next expected menses. Egg has life of 24 hours while the sperms are active for 72 hours. Hence, a period of about 8-10 days around the day of egg release (ovulation); i.e. day 10 to day 18 (if the menses are of 28 days) is a fertile period. Hence, intercourse during the menstruation will not cause conception. If you are keen on pregnancy, please try to have unprotected intercourse during fertile period. To be more accurate, you may go for ultrasonography for ovulation monitoring. This will allow you to locate the exact day of ovulation and thus you can plan your intercourses accordingly. Usually ovulation of healthy egg take place when the follicle is between 18 mm to 21 mm in size. Currently your symptoms cannot be attributed to pregnancy. They could be due to too much apprehension about the pregnancy. For the sharp pain in front of the uterus, please get your urine checked. This appears to be the pain in urinary bladder.
