Are Stabbing Pain In Vagina And Increase In Discharge Symptom Of Pre- Labour?
hi im due to have my 4th baby in 12 days time, its been a long time since my last and cant remember much. i keep getting the occasional period type cramp in my abdomen not too painful ive had low back ache for a few days now and every now and again i get a sharp stabbing pain in my vagina. my waters havent broke and i havent noticed a show although my discharge has increased alot. could i be in pre labour?
You seem to be right dear. Colicky pain in abdomen for last few days does indicate that your uterus has started now contracting stronger to go in labour. Moreover, the low back ache you are getting is due to the stretching of the mouth of the uterus (Cervix) - one more symptom indicating that you are in imminent labour. The vaginal sticky discharge, mixed with blood (show) is a classic sign of starting of labour. The feeling you are getting inside the vagina could be due to the decent of the baby's lower parts partially pressing inside the vagina. Yes, you seem to be going in labour any time. Just 12 days for full term is as good as full term. The baby is completely matured by now. Wish you a safe delivery with a bonny baby. Please feed the baby on your breasts. Start the breast feeding within half an hour of the delivery. That makes the baby healthy, develops bond between the mother and child and helps speedy recovery of the mother also.
