Are Sore Throat And Bumps In Mouth Due To Levaquin?

I am currently taking Levaquin for a sinus infection that has also infected my inner ear. This morning my throat was sore and my mouth is blistered with bumps on my tongue. Could this be the Levaquin or just the constant drainage running down my throat?

Hello
Levaquine 500 mg is a quinolone derivatives and very good drug for sore throat and sinus infection.
As you mentioned that your mouth is blistered and sore throat .
May be due to these possibilities, these include:
1 Due to drug reaction , as blister formation may be due to reaction of drug.
2 May be due to infection .
Diagnosis is very difficult because physical examination is important .
So till examination stop the drug , consult your treating doctor and get his opinion. Take some antihistamine tablet like montelukast+ levoceterizine , for some relief.
Good luck.
