Are Sore Nipples, Mood Swings, Hot Body Symptoms Of Pregnancy Or Menopause?

I am 33 and I have had the Mirena coil for just over 4 years and have recently started to experience sore nipples, mood swings and my husband says I am very hot at night ( although I don t notice myself). Any idea what could be causing these symptoms? Pregnancy? Early menopause? Please help.

Hi,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. You are too young to have menopausal symptoms unless there is a strong family history or some other medical cause resulting in premature menopause. Pregnancy can be excluded through a trans-vaginal sonogram and the blood test. With hormone contraception, imbalance can occur as the effect of the hormone dwindles and there are other factors like weight changes, stress or infections. This seems to be the most likely cause in your case. Please see a specialist for further assistance. Hope this helps.
