Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Small Sized Testicles Suggestive Of Low Testosterone Levels?
I am 25 yrs old. 5 7 . 145 lbs. My concern is the size of my testicles and testosterone levels. They measure 4 cm x 2.5 cm. They appear very small compared to other guys. I would say I have a normal sex drive but my morning erections seem to be infrequent. Both my father and grandfather have had low testosterone issues and have had to be placed on replacement supplements starting in their late 30s. Are my testicles small and could I have testosterone/fertility issues?
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
Yes,if there is significant atrophy of testicles then itt may be sign of some hormonal imbalances and may lead to fertility problems. Also, this may be caused by bad circulation in testis so ultrasound should be done. However if there is no significant shrinkage then this may be just genetic variation and it wont have da consequences. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
