Are Severe Itching And Burning In Vagina Signs Of Yeast Infection?

I had a saline iodine biopsy last Tuesday and have had severe itching and burning in my vagina since that mimic yeast infection. Could I have been allergice to the solution being inserted in my vagina. It has been very painful and I am not sure how to find relief as well. Please respond.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

Yes, these are signs of possible yeast infection but also may indicate bacterial vaginosis or STD. You should have STD tetsing and swab test to see is this infectious disease. Till that you can apply nystatin or canesten cream as empyric therapy. Allergy is also possoble but it should resolve in few days spontaneously.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
